What is generic Azelex? Azelex or Azelaic Acid 20% cream has been approved to treat mild to moderate acne. Azelex has been proven succesful in reducing the amount of bacteria which causes acne on the skin and by helping to keep facial pores open and unblocked, thus minimizing the number of acne pimples. Azelaic acid 20% cream belongs to a class of drugs known as dicarboxylic acids.

Azelaic Acid 20% Administration:: Before using Azelex generic cream, thoroughly clean the acne affected area and pat dry with a towel. Apply azelaic acid to the skin generally twice daily, in the morning and evening, or your doctor advises. Apply a thin layer and massage gently into the skin. After each use, wash your hands. Use Aziderm regularly to achieve optimal results. As such, apply Aziderm at the same times each day. Be careful to avoid contact in or near the eyes or inside the nose and mouth. If this medication makes contact with any of these areas, wash immediately with abundant amount of water. Call your doctor if irritation persists. Do not use large amounts of this medication, applying more or more often than directed. Do not place a bandage or cover over the cream unless your doctor advises you to do so. Use generic Azelexfor the full recommended course of treatment as directed by your doctor. It generally takes about 1 month to see results, but the full results of treatment may take longer. Advise your doctor if your condition does not improve after 1 month or if it worsens.
